Salclear TT-X is a water repellent spray for use by the motorcycle and automotive industry, on visors and screens/windshields. The X refers to the use of this product on eXternal surfaces of helmets, visors, windscreens etc.
Its not based on alcohol like most other products, which makes it more suitable for use on polycarbonate visors. |
This product was launched in May 2004, to coincide with the beginning of the 2004 Manx TT races.
It is designed to meet the needs of the leisure and competition motorcyclist for the cleaning and treatment of helmet visors, goggles and screens in order to repel rainwater and dirt, and improve vision in poor weather conditions.
In particular Salclear TT-X has been created to effectively clean the exterior of visors and render the surface hydrophobic and water and dirt repellent. The immediate benefit to the motorcyclist being improved and lasting vision by causing rapid elimination of rainwater and prevention of the accumulation of dirt and surface debris.
We have formulated Salclear TT-X water repellent visor spray to be a very effective cleaning aid, so its not just like any other old rain repellent. It cleans visors and windscreens with great ease, lifting oils and hard to remove soils efficiently, and additionally leaving the surface smear free.
Our lab tests studied the removal of hydrocarbon/silicone/oil mixtures from the surface of mirrors. With two squirts of Salclear TT-X the surface was clean, smear free and water and dirt resistant.
Salclear TT-X is a companion product to Salclear TT. The two work hand in hand.
Salclear TT is a very potent antifog treatment for the interior surfaces of visors and goggles; it is also an efficient cleaning fluid for both the inside and out, and will reduce glare when riding at night in wet weather.
In poor weather or heavy rain Salclear TT-X is the product of choice for external treatment of your visor. Rain drops will not adhere to the external surfaces, and this therefore reduces the need to constantly wipe the visor or goggles with the gloved hand.
Salclear TT-X, like Salclear TT, is supplied in a 50ml pump spray plastic bottle. Its easy to use, easy to apply and handy to carry around in any bumbag.
Use the Salclear visor care programme of TT and TT-X and your riding pleasure will be much less influenced by the weather.
We do not recommend that Salclear TT-X is used regularly to clean and protect highly finished visors such as mirrored or 'Iridium' visors. These are relatively delicate, and manufacturers instructions should always be followed on such. Please consult our'terms and conditions' section of this website.

Please note that when applying TT antifog you should use a clean and different cloth to that which you use to apply TT-X, the rain repellent.
