Corrosion Testing.

The corrosion resistance properties of Salclear Rusteze were tested and compared to three other market leading UK brands of motorbiking corrosion sprays.

In our tests three oval iron nails 3''/75mm were sprayed with copious quantities of the corrosion inhibitor. The nails were then wiped with a tissue and allowed to air dry.

The nails were then submerged in jars containing fresh sea water, and left to stand at ambient temperature for 3 months.

The nails were then removed and examined for signs of corrosion. We examined for visible signs of corrosion which included pitting, tarnishing, surface oxidation, and overall visible appearance and aesthetics.

On a scale of +12 to - 12, Salshield Rusteze scored +4 and was the best performer in this very tough test..

The control with no corrosion protection was badly corroded and scored -12. Other UK market leading products in this sector scored +1, -1 and -4 respectively.
