Silicone grease is a very versatile, waterproof compound and lubricant, that can be used in an array of demanding industrial and leisure applications where long-term, permanent lubrication is required. It is ideally suited to scuba diving.
Salclear Scubagrease is a waterproof grease made by combining a silicone oil, with a thickening agent. It is a translucent viscous paste supplied in 30g wide necked clear jars.
It is commonly used for lubricating and preserving rubber parts, such as O-rings, as it prevents the rubber from drying out. In addition, our silicone grease will not swell or soften most rubbers (though should not be used with standard silicone rubbers); this can be a problem with hydrocarbon based greases. It also functions well as a corrosion-inhibitor due to its high water repellency characteristics.

Salclear Scubagrease waterproofing aid will adhere to many surfaces ensuring an excellent seal on a variety of joints e.g. glass apparatus, valves and taps.
A low coefficient of friction makes it an ideal lubricant for metal to plastic and plastic to plastic lubrication e.g. plastic bearings.
