Salclear Aquasport was the origin of the Salclear brand and range, and we have what we believe is a market leading product.

Salclear AquaSport meets the demanding needs of the sports, recreational or commercial diver, as well as being eminently suitable for use by competition swimmers on their goggles, or indeed the kids ones too.

The formulation has the desired target properties of good cleaning and excellent antifog characteristics, in a sprayable easy to use package.

Wash off resistance is a key property for the scuba and swimming market, and the AquaSport formulation provides just that. So one application will last multiple dives, as well as the bottle lasting many months in use.

AquaSport survives multiple complete immersions in cold water. Most other products are weak by comparison.

We have had to take into account that our scuba diving customers also need a product which can degrease their new masks, or clean the dirt and debris from the inner and outer surfaces of the mask lenses pre or post dive. Salclear AquaSport has been formulated to do this. Its also a good dive slate cleaner too.

 

Cleaning, New mask prep

Salclear AquaSport provides excellent cleaning characteristics. The formulation is balanced to remove hydrophobic soils, such as oils, greases and the like - as well as hydrophilic soils which are solubilised in water. We ran comparative tests with regular leading brand domestic cleaning fluids... nothing came close!

Salclear AquaSport is the product of choice for new mask preparation. It can easily handle the silicone and petroleum based residues left on the mask lenses during production. It dissolves and disperses them readily, leaving a clear and clean surface which will not fog. You therefore have a powerful cleaning aid in Salclear AquaSport, which can be used to remove dirt and smudges from the surface of your facemask. Our product can additionally be used to remove the lubricants and oils which remain on the surfaces of the tempered glass during the process of manufacture of the facemask itself. Our product is also a powerful cleaner which can be used on all dive gear to clean hoses, valves, dive suits and dive gear. In our 'mask prep' tests the Salclear products were easily the best performers and in a different league to current competitive products, as well as combinations of toothpaste, washing up liquid, powder detergent concentrates. We ran tests comparing Salclear AquaSport to two other leading and established zip lubricants and cleaners which are widely available on the market..

Out of a total relative score of 30 Salclear AquaSport scored 24, against 14 for Product N and 13 for Product M.

Very clear differences to the currently available products, and clear performance advantages where zip care and lubrication are concerned.
